Lillibed was developed to relieve the painful effects of Hip Dysplasia for a special Golden Retriever named Lilli. As she aged, Lilli also developed arthritis and suffered severely, with pressure points and resulting inflammation. None of the dog beds available on the market were able to support and maintain loft over time. Invariably, Lilli’s body weight would eliminate the mattress support and her pressure points worsen. In addition Lilli developed severe allergies to the synthetic fill used in the beds. Only a special construction of several layers of blankets made from natural materials relieved Lilli’s discomfort.

From this experience the concept for the Lillibed was born. The goal was to build a bed made out of natural, hypoallergenic materials that is designed to achieve maximum relaxation and comfort for the dog’s joints and spine. After months of research and construction revisions, the proper combination of materials and structure was achieved. Lilli loved her new bed and within a short period of time her health improved. Because of the bed’s proper orthopedic support of spine and joints, her muscle tension was greatly relieved and painful pressure points disappeared.

The change in Lilli was dramatic. She became lively again and could walk more easily. Lilli enjoyed life until the old age of 16. The health benefits and relaxation Lilli experienced are now available to all dogs of any age with the Lillibed.
