You can equip the Lillibed with an optional Medicott cover. The trademarked Medicott process provides total anti-fungal protection as well as additional antimicrobial benefits.
Medicott prevents harmful fungus from forming and becoming embedded in cotton fabric, even in prolonged damp conditions. It also effectively limits the food supply for the house dust-mite. With regular maintenance, the treatment is permanent, with no loss of effectiveness.
(Now with the addition of chitosan, Medicott also has an antimicrobial effect. Chitosan is made from chitin, which is to be found in the skeletons of shrimps, crabs and other crustaceans. It is biodegradable and does not irritate the skin. Medicott is a stretchy terry cloth cover made out of natural, untreated cotton. It contains no chemicals that have detrimental effects on the environment. This preserves the cotton fiber, supports the durability and guarantees its environmental compatibility.
The extra long zippers make changing the cover very easy. The Medicott cover should be washed every 5-6 weeks (machine washable at 60°C, dryer approved) to keep its special qualities.
